"The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act of 2010 amended the Nursing Education Loan repayment Program (NELRP) to extend loan repayment to nurse faculty. Up to twenty percent of NELRP funds to be made available to nurse faculty.

The program offers nursing faculty substantial economic assistance to repay a portion of their qualifying educational loans in enhance for service as a full-time nurse faculty member at an eligible school of nursing.

The purpose of NELRP-NF is to assist in the recruitment and retention of nurse faculty at accredited schools of nursing, by decreasing economic barriers that may be associated with pursuing a career in academic nursing.

Application deadline is June 15, 5PM, ET

Open to physicians, nurses and social workers who have demonstrated a commitment to health and aging issues, and who want to be more involved in policy issues at all levels of government. The goal is to produce change agents in health and aging policy who cam improve the future of healthcare for older Americans.
