Note: Position is eligible for up to an additional 26% ($19,151/year) annual stipend

Health Occupations and Nursing is a vital academic division at Shoreline Community College. The Health Occupations and Nursing division offers degrees and certifications in Nursing, Health Information Technology, Dental Hygiene, Medical Lab Technology, and NAC. The Nursing program trains both part-time and full-time students to become Registered Nurses. The Nursing program is accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN). Reporting directly to the Dean of Health Occupations & Nursing full-time faculty collaborate with associate faculty and staff to advise students, improve student success, meet accreditation standards and fulfill Shoreline Community College’s vision, mission, and strategic plan. To support these endeavors, annual training is provided, and professional development funds are available.
We are recruiting for multiple instructor positions including those that require expertise in the following areas: medical-surgical, health promotion, and maternal child. Typical duties include the following:

PHYSICAL WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Work is usually performed in a clinic or a classroom that requires standing and/or sitting for extended periods of time. Clinical work is performed in health care settings where the instructor assists with patient care and walks between multiple departments while advising students. Instructors use computers constantly in the work environment.
TERM OF EMPLOYMENT/SALARY:
NOTE: Upon hire, successful completion of a national background check and annual Washington State Patrol background check is required for this position. Ongoing professional vocational certification will also be required.
