WCN President Debbie Brinker, past Vice President Judy Huntington among 2018 Washington State Nurses Association Hall of Fame Inductees

Debbie Brinker, RN, MSN, CNS, WCN Board President and an assistant dean and assistant professor at the Washington State University College of Nursing, and Judy Huntington, MN, RN, past WCN Vice President and past Washington State Nurses Association Executive Director, were inducted into the 2018 Washington State Nurses Association Hall of Fame in March. The Hall of Fame recognizes the dedication and achievements of Washington state registered nurses who have made significant lifetime accomplishments in the nursing profession. 

Among her many achievements, Brinker serves as faculty advisor for the Nursing Students of Washington State; is a member of the Leadership Washington Nursing Action Coalition, and is on the steering committee of Action Now! The Initiative to Solve State Nursing Education Challenges.

 

 

Judy Huntington, MN, RN, was recently featured as a WCN Honored Nurse. She has enjoyed a rich career elevating the nursing profession. In 2017, she retired from her role as Executive Director of the Washington State Nurses Association, a position she has held since January 1999. As one of WCN’s founders, Judy served as vice president of the WCN board of the directors until her retirement.
