it has selected 250 distinguished nurse leaders to be inducted into the 2022 Class of Fellows. The
inductees will be recognized for their significant contributions to health and health care at the
Academy’s annual Health Policy Conference, taking place on October 27-29, 2022 in Washington, DC. This year’s conference theme is “From Reflection to Impact: Positioning Nursing’s Future.”

With a shortage of RNs likely underway now, employers need to redouble their efforts to retain RNs and develop career paths for newly-graduated RNs. They also need to rapidly develop and implement strategies to mitigate the potential harm of shortages over the next five years.
