The PLU School of Nursing is seeking an outstanding APRN to serve as an Assistant Professor in our growing Doctor of Nursing Practice program. Starting in September 2022, this opportunity features a full-time tenure track Assistant Professor position, with instruction primarily focused on DNP coursework as well as within our Family Nurse Practitioner track.

This position is for a full-time tenure-track position with primary teaching responsibilities in the Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) program including courses in the Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) track. Regularly scheduled courses will include: teaching primary care procedures and diagnosis, advanced physical assessment, a series of FNP diagnosis and management courses, and women and children in primary care.
Teaching responsibilities will include: coordination of the course activities for didactic/hybrid, lab (if applicable to course) and clinical components of the course; communicating with clinical and lab faculty associated with the course; teaching and evaluation of the students, clinical supervision or instruction. Additional responsibilities include: possible supervision or participation in DNP project committees, participation in department committees and meetings, evaluation activities for the program, participation in University faculty assembly, participation in additional school activities, such as pinning, graduation, orientation. This position reports to the PLU School of Nursing Associate Dean/Dean.
